Take your time to carefully review the merits of each house and compare it to the asking price. And look at enough houses to know which one is best for you.

Rely on your real estate agent. 

Your agent is working for you so make full use of his or her services. This person will offer you an unbiased opinion of each property, pointing out its good and bad points. 

The final decision is yours, but do listen to the advice of your agent - after all, he or she has years of experience in the housing market.
